Cheesecake Filling

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened provides structure and creaminess
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar sweetens and stabilizes
  • 1 cup Baileys Irish Cream adds moisture and flavor

Whipped Cream

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream adds lightness and richness

Ganache

  • 8 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped introduces deep chocolate flavor
  • 0.5 cups heavy cream to create a smooth texture

Layering

  • 0.5 cups crushed chocolate cookies or chocolate cake adds crunch

Optional Garnishes

  • chocolate chips or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese with powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and free of lumps.
  • Gradually add Baileys Irish Cream into the cream cheese mixture and continue beating until silky and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold whipped cream into the Baileys-cream cheese mixture until uniform.
  • Prepare ganache by combining chopped chocolate and heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Assembly

  • Layer crushed cookies or chocolate cake at the bottom of a trifle dish or serving cups.
  • Add a layer of the Baileys-cream cheese mixture over the cookie/cake layer.
  • Drizzle warm chocolate ganache over the cream cheese layer.
  • Repeat the layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with the cream cheese layer on top.
  • Drizzle additional Baileys Irish Cream on top and garnish with chocolate chips or shavings if desired.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth consistency. Whip cream to soft peaks for best texture, and allow ganache to cool before layering.
