Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth, leaving some small chunks for texture.
  • Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and stir until well combined.
  • Incorporate the sugar into the banana and butter mixture, mixing well.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  • Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring gently until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
