For the Trifle Layers

  • 1 12-ounce box Vanilla Wafers Adds crunch and structure
  • 4 pieces Bananas, sliced Provides freshness and natural sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar For topping if desired

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the whole milk and the instant vanilla pudding mix. Whisk them together until fully blended and smooth.
  • Add the sweetened condensed milk to the pudding mixture and stir gently until incorporated.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture.

Layering

  • Begin layering your trifle by adding a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom of your trifle dish.
  • Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the wafers.
  • Spoon a layer of the vanilla cream filling over the bananas using a rubber spatula.
  • Repeat the layers until you reach the top of your dish, finishing with a layer of cream filling.
  • Sprinkle a little sugar on top if desired.
  • Cover the trifle and refrigerate to allow flavors to meld and for the dessert to chill.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Layer evenly and chill overnight for best results.
