Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 3/4 cup pecans finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt optional

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese full-fat, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping divided (e.g., Cool Whip)

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 2 packages instant chocolate pudding 3.9 oz each
  • 3 cups cold milk

Topping

  • remaining whipped topping for top layer
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). In a bowl, mix flour, melted butter, chopped pecans, and salt. Press into a 13x9-inch baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
  • Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in half the whipped topping. Spread evenly over cooled crust.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk instant pudding with cold milk for 2 minutes until thick. Spread over cream cheese layer.
  • Top with remaining whipped topping. Smooth with a spatula and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours (or overnight) until firm and sliceable.

Notes

Make it your own by topping with chocolate curls or mini chocolate chips, or swap pecans for walnuts. Perfect for make-ahead gatherings.
