Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch cake pan.
Cream together butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mix, alternating with milk. Mix until smooth.
