Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and ricotta cheese. Beat them together using an electric mixer or whisk until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cheese mixture, continuing to mix until combined.
  • Pour in the heavy whipping cream and add the vanilla extract. Beat this mixture again until well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the miniature chocolate chips and, if desired, the orange zest.
  • Transfer your Cannoli Dip into a serving dish.
  • Serve immediately with your choice of waffle cones, pizzelle, or fresh strawberries.

Notes

Use full-fat ricotta for the best texture. Avoid overmixing after adding the cream to preserve the lightness of the dip.
