Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter and light brown sugar. Mix until smooth and well-combined.
  • Add the large egg and additional egg yolk, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and fine sea salt.
  • Sprinkle in the baking powder and all-purpose flour. Gently fold them into the mixture until just combined.
  • Add the chosen mix-ins, gently folding until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into a prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Transfer to a cooling rack and allow to cool completely before cutting.
  • Sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.

Notes

Store at room temperature for up to 3 days in an airtight container. They can be refrigerated for about a week or frozen for up to three months.
