Preparation

  • Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a measuring jug until smooth.
  • Place sliced cinnamon rolls in a baking dish in a single layer.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the cinnamon rolls, ensuring they are covered.
  • Flip the rolls in the custard to make sure they are evenly soaked and let them soak for about 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat griddle to medium and melt butter until bubbly.
  • Remove rolls from custard, letting excess drip off, and place on griddle.
  • Cook until golden and crispy, flipping for even cooking.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving with maple syrup.

Notes
