Preparation

  • Begin by combining the self-rising flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix until evenly distributed.

  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth and slightly elastic.
  • Preheat your oven while shaping the bagels. Divide the dough into about 6 equal pieces.
  • Roll each piece into a ball and poke a hole in the center to shape the bagels.
  • Place the shaped bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and apply the egg wash.

Baking
