Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and packed dark brown sugar. Mix until the sugar is fully integrated, resulting in a smooth and glossy texture.
  • Add in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract. Mix until the mixture is well blended and slightly thickened.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly.

Baking

  • Pour the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few crumbs.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes.
  • Once cooled, lift the blondies from the pan using the parchment paper if used, and allow to cool completely on the wire rack before slicing.

Notes

For best results, ensure the butter is fully melted but not browned, pack the brown sugar for proper sweetness, and avoid overmixing after adding flour. You can also add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
