Ingredients
  

Crust Base

  • 1 box yellow cake mix For a sweet, soft base.
  • ½ cup butter, melted Adds flavor and moisture.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Provides creamy richness.

Filling

  • 1 can (21 oz) lemon pie filling Adds tartness and moisture.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Sweetens the filling and adds a smooth texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the recipe instructions.
  • Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Press half of the crust mixture into the bottom of the baking dish, packing it down firmly.
  • Spread the lemon pie filling evenly over the crust.
  • Crumble the remaining crust mixture over the top of the lemon filling.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown.
  • Let the bars cool in the dish before transferring them to the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours.

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is softened and pack the crust firmly. Adjust powdered sugar for sweetness as desired.
