Crust

  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips sweetness and rich flavor
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted moisture and richness

Filling

  • 1 cup peanut butter creamy texture and nutty flavor
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese adds creaminess and stability
  • 1 cup powdered sugar sweetness and smooth texture
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract enhances overall flavor
  • 1 cup heavy cream whipped for lightness

Toppings

  • 1 cup chocolate chips for topping, added sweetness
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream for topping, adds silkiness
  • to taste roasted peanuts, chopped optional, for crunch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by melting the chocolate chips and butter together until smooth, using the microwave or low heat on the stove. Stir frequently until the mixture is glossy.
  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a bowl and let it cool slightly.
  • Add the peanut butter and cream cheese to the chocolate mixture. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  • Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until combined.
  • Pour the filling into a pie dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Chill the pie in the refrigerator for a few hours until it firms up.

Topping

  • Heat the remaining chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of heavy cream until smooth to create a silky ganache.
  • Pour the ganache over the chilled peanut butter filling and spread it evenly. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped roasted peanuts.
  • Chill for an additional 30 minutes to let the ganache set.
  • Slice and serve the pie straight from the refrigerator.

Notes

Allow ample chilling time to help the filling set nicely and enhance flavors. If using chopped peanuts on top, consider adding them just before serving to maintain their crunch. Store any leftovers covered to keep the pie fresh.
