Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients while the oven heats.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted unsalted butter, and room-temperature eggs. Mix until smooth and uniform.
  • Add the vanilla extract and salt to the mixture, stirring until incorporated.
  • Pour the brownie batter into a greased or lined baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.

Frosting

  • While brownies cool, prepare the frosting by combining powdered sugar and enough milk for a smooth consistency.
  • Once brownies are completely cooled, spread the frosting over the top.
  • Dollop strawberry preserves on top and swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
