  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter adds richness
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream for a creamy texture

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan (9 x 9 or 8 x 8 inches) with aluminum foil and coat lightly with cooking spray or butter.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until browned, stirring continuously until it reaches a deep amber color.
  • Add granulated sugar, light brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, coffee granules, and baking powder to the browned butter and mix well.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly before stirring in the cold eggs and vanilla extract until shiny and well blended.
  • Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined, then gently stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing.

Finishing Touches

  • Prepare the caramel sauce by combining light brown sugar, unsalted butter, heavy cream, and vanilla in a saucepan, and cook until thickened.
  • Drizzle the brownies with the caramel sauce and sprinkle with additional pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Refrigerate the brownies for about 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best results, allow the brownies to cool fully before cutting. You can also experiment with the amount of pecans and chocolate chips based on your preference.
