Preparation

  • Begin by softening the unsalted butter in a mixing bowl. Make sure it's not melted but rather at room temperature.
  • Mix in the packed light brown sugar until well combined, forming a creamy and fluffy texture.
  • Add the granulated sugar to the mixture and stir until evenly incorporated and light and fluffy.
  • Incorporate the vanilla extract and salt, stirring until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder until thoroughly combined into a dough-like consistency.
  • If needed, add milk, one tablespoon at a time, stirring well after each addition to achieve your desired consistency.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently until they are evenly distributed in the mixture.

Notes
