  • 1 tsp almond extract adds elegant flavor depth
  • 2 tsp baking powder for rise and lightness
  • 1/2 tsp salt balances sweetness

Decorations

  • buttercream frosting for layering and finishing
  • edible glitter and snowflake sprinkles for sparkle and Frozen charm

  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with dry. Mix gently to combine.
  • Divide batter in two. Tint one half blue and swirl together lightly for a Frozen-inspired marbled effect.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Prepare buttercream: beat softened butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  • Layer cakes with frosting between and around. Decorate with edible glitter, snowflake sprinkles, and top with an Elsa figurine.
