Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, measure out 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt. Use a whisk or spoon to help the yogurt become smooth and easy to mix.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder into the yogurt. Stir it thoroughly to achieve a uniform chocolate color and texture.
  • Measure and include 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey, or any sweetener of your choice. Mix until well combined.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix it in gently but thoroughly.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt into the mixture. Stir until well blended.
  • Once all ingredients are combined into a smooth mixture, taste and adjust if needed.
  • Transfer the mousse into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

This mousse works beautifully as a satisfying breakfast or an easy snack. It keeps well in the refrigerator for a few days. Experiment with toppings like fruit or nuts for added flavor.
