  • Tray lined with parchment paper
  • Freezer or fridge
  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Cake pop stand or foam block

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 baked cake any flavor (e.g., chocolate, vanilla, red velvet)
  • 1/3 cup frosting cream cheese, vanilla, or chocolate
  • candy melts or white chocolate for coating
  • sprinkles, crushed nuts, or drizzle for decoration
  • lollipop sticks

Instructions

  • Crumble the baked cake into a large bowl until fine.
  • Add frosting gradually, mixing until the texture resembles cookie dough.
  • Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined tray. Chill in the freezer for 15–20 minutes.
  • Melt candy coating or chocolate according to package directions.
  • Dip each lollipop stick tip into the melted coating, then insert into each cake ball.
  • Dip cake pops fully into the coating, gently tap off excess, and decorate immediately.
  • Place upright in a foam block or cake pop stand to set completely.

Notes

Use boxed cake mix or homemade cake. Chill the balls before dipping to avoid them falling apart. Add a little coconut oil to the coating if it’s too thick. Mix and match your favorite flavors for endless variations!
