Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to a moderate temperature.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crouton-sized pieces of bread with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Ensure the bread is evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle the finely grated Parmesan cheese over the mixture and gently toss again to distribute the cheese evenly.
  • Spread the coated croutons out in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Baking

  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and watch for the croutons to turn a golden brown and crisp up perfectly.
  • After baking, remove the croutons from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Notes

Use day-old bread for best texture. Adjust the amount of garlic powder or Italian seasoning to suit your taste. Allow enough space between croutons on the baking sheet for proper crisping.
