Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • Cut the sourdough bread into even one-inch cubes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed sourdough bread with olive oil, making sure each cube is coated.
  • Sprinkle dried basil, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the coated bread cubes and toss well.
  • Spread the seasoned bread cubes in an even layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • Once golden brown and crisp, remove from oven and let them cool on the baking sheet.

Notes

For best results, use stale sourdough bread and ensure even spacing on the baking sheet to avoid sogginess. Adjust seasonings to your preference.
