Ingredients
  

For the hot chocolate base

  • 5 cup whole milk moisture
  • 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk creamy texture
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips rich flavor contribution
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or more to taste, flavor enhancer

For topping

  • 1 can whipped cream for topping

Preparation

  • In a large saucepan, combine the 5 cups of whole milk and the 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk over medium heat.
  • Stir gently as the milks warm to blend well and avoid scorching.
  • Once the milk mixture is warm but not boiling, add the 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Stir continuously until the chocolate chips melt fully into the milk.
  • After the chocolate is melted, add the 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir thoroughly.
  • Continue heating the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until it reaches the desired temperature without boiling.
  • Ladle the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top and serve immediately.
