  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder for chocolate flavor
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup/honey for sweetness
  • 100 g semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate for a rich flavor
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract to enhance sweetness and flavor

For the Whipped Cream

  • 200 ml cold heavy cream for texture and richness
  • 1 tbsp confectioner's sugar sifted, for sweetness and texture

Toppings

Instructions
 

Preparation of Hot Chocolate

  • Combine 500 ml of milk, 1 tbsp of cocoa powder, and 1 tbsp of brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until blended.
  • Add 100 g of chopped semi-sweet chocolate and whisk continuously until melted, ensuring it does not boil.
  • Stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract until well combined.

Preparation of Whipped Cream

  • Whip 200 ml of cold heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold in 1 tbsp of sifted confectioner's sugar into the whipped cream.

Serving

  • Pour the hot chocolate into mugs, top with whipped cream, and add mini marshmallows.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chocolate and adjust sweetness to your preference. Chill the bowl and whisk before whipping cream for better volume.
