  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon for flavor
  • 1 cup chopped pecans optional, for taste and texture

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the slightly beaten egg, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  • Add the “JIFFY” Baking Mix and milk, stirring gently to combine.
  • Incorporate the cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • For the topping, mix the brown sugar, chopped nuts, “JIFFY” Baking Mix, cold butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  • Grease a 9-inch baking pan and pour in the cake batter, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the crumbly topping over the batter.

Baking

  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Cool completely before slicing.
