Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  • Press the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of your 9x9-inch baking dish.
  • Bake the crust for about 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

Filling

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, lime zest, and egg yolks until smooth.
  • Pour the filling mixture over the cooled crust.
  • Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the filling is slightly firm with a gentle jiggle in the center.

Cooling and Serving

  • Let the bars cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least a couple of hours to set.
  • Cut into squares, top each with whipped cream and a lime wedge before serving.
