Ingredients
  

Base & Layers

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter melted, preferably salted
  • 1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk 14 oz (396g)
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut preferably sweetened
  • 1 cup chopped nuts such as walnuts or pecans, toasted for best flavor
  • 1 pinch sea salt optional, to balance sweetness

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325°F if using a glass dish). Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until evenly moistened. Press firmly into the prepared pan to form a crust.
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust. Spread gently with a spatula if needed.
  • Evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and chopped nuts over the milk layer. Add a pinch of sea salt if desired.
  • Press down gently with the back of a fork to help the layers adhere and bake evenly.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is lightly golden and edges are bubbling.
  • Cool completely in the pan. Once cool, lift out using parchment and cut into bars.

Notes

Letting the bars cool completely ensures clean slices. You can also refrigerate briefly to speed up setting time. These bars taste even better the next day!
