Ingredients

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef Use a good quality beef for better flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 2/3 cup milk or beef broth Using beef broth adds extra flavor.
  • 1/4 medium onion, grated or finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg, beaten This helps bind the meatballs.
  • 1 tsp salt Adjust based on preference.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Adds richness.
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley Use fresh for best flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Combine the Italian breadcrumbs with the milk (or beef broth) in a mixing bowl and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, salt, black pepper, grated Parmesan, and chopped parsley to the soaked breadcrumbs and mix gently.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs approximately 2 inches in diameter.
  • Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced apart.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes or until fully cooked and browned on the outside.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the meatball mixture to keep them tender. Fresh ingredients enhance the flavor significantly. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
