Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  • Mix in the sour cream and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.

Swirling & Baking

  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon to make the swirl mixture.
  • Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared Bundt pan, followed by the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and then top with the remaining batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cooling & Icing

  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack.
  • While the cake cools, prepare the icing by whisking together the powdered sugar, 2-3 tablespoons of milk, and additional vanilla extract.
  • Drizzle the icing over the cooled cake.

Notes
