Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the almond butter and maple syrup. Use a spatula or spoon to mix these ingredients together until smooth.
  • Gradually sift in the cocoa powder. Stir gently to incorporate the cocoa into the almond butter mixture.
  • If using chocolate chips, fold them into the mixture now.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Using your hands, scoop out portions of the mixture to form small balls, about the size of a tablespoon.
  • Once shaped, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for about 30–60 minutes.

Notes

Make sure the almond butter is well stirred if it has separated. Adjust the cocoa powder to match your taste preference; feel free to use a bit less for a milder chocolate flavor. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for even mixing. Use a scoop for uniformity in your brownie bites.
