Instructions

Preparation of Crust

  • Mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter in a bowl until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  • Pour the Oreo and butter mixture into a 9-inch springform pan and press it evenly across the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator to chill for about 30 minutes.

Preparation of Filling

  • In a clean mixing bowl, whisk the room-temperature cream cheese until fluffy and smooth.
  • Slowly add in the sifted powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined and creamy.
  • Gently fold the chilled whipping cream into the cream cheese mixture using a rubber spatula.
  • Fold in the broken Oreo cookie pieces, mixing gently to evenly distribute throughout the filling.

Assembly

  • Cover the pan with plastic wrap or a lid and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.

Optional Topping

  • If desired, whisk the additional chilled whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
  • Once the cheesecake has set, remove it from the springform pan and pipe or spread the whipped cream on top.
  • Garnish with halved Oreo cookies as desired.
