Ingredients
  

Cake Layer

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients listed on the box

Fudge & Pudding Layers

  • 12.8 oz hot fudge warmed slightly until pourable
  • 3.4 oz chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 1.75 cups milk for pudding mix

Topping Layer

  • 30 Oreos crushed, divided
  • 3.4 oz chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 1.75 cups milk for second pudding mix
  • 8 oz Cool Whip thawed

Instructions
 

  • Prepare chocolate cake mix as directed on the box. Bake and cool for 10 minutes.
  • Poke holes all over the cake using the end of a spoon. Warm hot fudge and drizzle evenly across the cake. Let cool completely.
  • Whisk together 1 package of pudding mix and 1¾ cups milk. Pour over cooled cake before it sets. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Prepare second pudding mix with another 1¾ cups milk. Chill for 10 minutes to thicken.
  • Fold Cool Whip and ¾ of the crushed Oreos into the chilled pudding.
  • Spread pudding mixture over the cake. Top with remaining crushed Oreos.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy chilled for best texture.

Notes

Use thawed Cool Whip and slightly warm fudge for best results. Crush Oreos in a zip-top bag for a chunky texture, and chill the dessert well before serving to let the layers set.
