  • 6 tablespoons 6 tablespoons heavy cream Adds richness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by preheating your oven to the recommended temperature.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt, mixing until well blended.
  • Add the cold butter cubes and blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Reserve about 1 ½ cups of the crumb mixture for the topping and set aside.
  • Press the remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of the baking pan to form a sturdy crust.

Filling

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt for the filling.
  • Include the chopped peaches and toss gently to coat them with the sugar mixture.
  • Pour the peach filling over the crust in the baking pan.
  • Drizzle the heavy cream evenly over the peach filling.
  • Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the top of the peach filling.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Allow to cool completely in the baking pan before slicing into bars.

Notes

Ensure your butter is very cold for the best texture. You can store leftovers for a few days. These bars can be frozen for up to three months.
