Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to the desired temperature.
  • Roll out the puff pastry to fit your baking dish.
  • Place the rolled pastry into the baking dish, pressing it gently into the corners and up the sides.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar, whisking together until smooth.
  • Gradually add the flour to the egg and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.

Making the Custard

  • Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  • Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg mixture while whisking continuously.
  • Add the pinch of salt and vanilla sugar to the mixture, stirring gently.

Baking

  • Pour the custard mixture over the prepared puff pastry in the baking dish.
  • Dot the surface with small pieces of butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the top is set and golden brown.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
