Preparation

  • Begin by creaming together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth and well-combined.
  • Add in the egg and the vanilla extract. Mix until everything is blended.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Whisk these dry ingredients together.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing with a rubber spatula until there are no visible flour streaks.

Making the Batter

  • Melt the half cup of butter and allow it to cool slightly before adding it to the batter along with one cup of dark brown sugar and two teaspoons of vanilla.
  • Gently fold the ingredients in until just incorporated.
  • Fold in the remaining flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda, mixing just until combined.
  • Add the white chocolate chips gently into the batter.

Assembling and Baking

  • Prepare a baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly. Pour half of the blondie batter into the pan.
  • Place a layer of Golden Oreos on top of the first layer of batter.
  • Spoon the remaining blondie batter over the Oreos, covering the cookies completely.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the edges are golden brown and the middle appears set.
  • Allow the blondies to cool before slicing.
