Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease your baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly distributed.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top.
  • In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for the topping. Sprinkle generously over the top of the batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
