Cinnamon Swirl

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by melting the 10 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a medium bowl. Let it cool slightly before proceeding.
  • To the melted butter, add 1 ¾ cups of packed light brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
  • Crack in 2 large eggs and add 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract. Stir until cohesive.
  • Add the dry ingredients: 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of corn starch, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ¾ teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Gently fold together.

Cinnamon Swirl Preparation

  • Melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a small bowl.
  • Mix it with 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of all-purpose flour, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon until it resembles a thick paste.

Baking

  • Pour the blondie batter into a baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Drizzle the prepared cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter and swirl it in gently.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until set and a toothpick comes out moist but not wet.
  • Allow to cool in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Cut into squares using a sharp knife for clean edges.
