  • 2 cups cold milk needed to prepare the pudding

  • 16 ounces cool whip lightens texture and adds sweetness
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries for a fresh, fruity contrast

Instructions
 

Preparation of Brownies

  • Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions.
  • Mix brownie mix with eggs, water, and oil until just combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and bake until done.
  • Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan.

Prepare the Pudding

  • In a large bowl, whisk instant chocolate pudding with cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.

Assemble the Trifle

  • Cut cooled brownies into bite-sized cubes.
  • In a trifle dish or serving bowl, layer brownie cubes at the bottom.
  • Add a layer of chocolate pudding on top of the brownies.
  • Spread a layer of cool whip over the pudding.
  • Slice fresh strawberries and arrange them over the cool whip.
  • Repeat layers until ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cool whip on top.
  • Garnish with extra strawberries or brownie crumbs if desired.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
