Instructions
 

  • Wash, pierce, and bake whole sweet potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for 45 minutes until tender.
  • Peel and mash the baked sweet potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  • Mix mashed sweet potatoes with butter, sugar, eggs, and spices until cohesive and rich.
  • Assemble your chosen dessert: spread into a pan for bars, spoon into a crust for pie, or top with dough for cobbler.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C): cobblers for 40 minutes, bars or bread for 25–35 minutes, cookies for 10–12 minutes.
