Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk until evenly combined.
  • In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition until well incorporated.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until smooth.

Mixing

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the sliced apples gently to ensure even distribution.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  • Place in the oven and bake for about 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cooling and Serving

  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes
