  • Lingonberry jam for a fruity contrast

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, bread crumbs, lightly beaten egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, ground allspice, nutmeg, onion powder, and the salt and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and arrange them on a prepared baking sheet.

Cooking Meatballs

  • Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes until cooked through and golden.

Making the Sauce

  • In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt the butter, stir in the flour and let it cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Whisk in the chicken broth, add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Combining

  • Transfer the baked meatballs into the skillet with the sauce and cook them together for a few minutes, spooning sauce over the meatballs.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. Lingonberry jam can be added on the side for contrast.
